Summary

LEVANTARSE is a pronominal (reflexive) verb: it always takes a reflexive pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se) and in this model we use it in the sense “to get up, to get out of bed”.

Pronoun placement:
- Before a conjugated verb: me levanto, te levantabas, se va a levantar.
- Attached to infinitives and gerunds: levantarse, al levantarse, levantándome.
- For affirmative commands the pronoun is attached to the end and can change the accent: levántate, levantémonos.

Examples

  • Me levanto temprano. / I get up early.
  • ¿A qué hora te levantaste? / What time did you get up?
  • No te levantes todavía. (The table cell shows “te levantes” without “no”.)
